Intake Appointment/Kids

As a pediatric practice, we specialize in complex children under the age of 18. Our experienced homeopaths are also the parents of complex kids and have first-hand knowledge of what you and your family are going through. They approach each case with compassion and understanding, and are eager to share their knowledge with you so that over time you can become your child’s best healer. Initial intake appointments are 90 minutes and take place via secure video call.

Intakes range from $400 to $600; individual rates are listed under each homeopath’s bio under The Hive.

Intake Appointment/Parents

We love to treat whole families because when parents get help for themselves, the child’s healing process becomes faster and smoother. Parents of our pediatric clients are welcome to schedule an intake appointment with their consultant to treat current anxiety, fear, and trauma surrounding their child’s diagnosis and work on their own physical health as well. Intakes are 90 minutes and take place via secure video call.

Intakes range from $400 to $600; individual rates are listed under each homeopath’s bio under The Hive.

Follow-up Appointment

We expect that follow-up appointments will be made approximately every 4-8 weeks during treatment. Return appointments are essential for adjusting the treatment plan and keeping you moving forward on your path. In the long term we will be encouraging you to learn to be an active and intuitive participant in your own family’s healing and be able to dose and make adjustments without always needing direct guidance from us. Follow-ups are 45 minutes.

Follow-ups range from $145 to $175 depending on your homeopath.

20-minute ACUTE follow-up: $80

E-mail prescription change: $80

Scheduling and Billing

We require payment in full to book an intake appointment.

If you cancel your intake, for any reason, with less than one week’s notice, you forfeit your appointment fee. If you cancel your appointment with more than one week’s notice, you will be refunded the full intake amount less a $10 handling fee.

Follow-ups that you book yourself via our website are charged at the time of booking; those that are booked directly with the homeopath are billed after the appointment. Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment time or no-shows will be billed 50% the appointment rate. If you have pre-paid for your follow-up using our online scheduling system and cancel within 48 hours, half of the rate you paid will be applied to your next follow-up.

Forms and Waivers

Once your appointment is booked, you will be sent an intake form and waiver. Intake forms and signed waivers must be submitted at least 72 hours before your appointment. If paperwork is not submitted in time, we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment.

Re-Intakes

If you are an established Hive client but have not scheduled a follow-up in the last 12 months, we welcome you back and the first follow-up will be charged a “re-intake” fee of $225.

Remedies

Dosing schedules will be made within 3 business days of your appointment. Hive clients will be given instructions on how to join a private dispensary that we are associated with if they choose to. The dispensary is based in Oregon and orders are usually shipped same day when received by 12 pm PST. The dispensary charges $4.50 to $6.50 a packet (~25 pellets, enough for 10-15 doses if dry dosing) plus shipping. If you need a remedy that we do not have, we will give you explicit instructions on how to special order it, or we will order it for you. Most international clients order their remedies from the closest available homeopathic pharmacy. The cost of ordering remedies from outside pharmacies ranges from $8 to $18 per bottle.

Communication Guidelines

As our practice continues to grow and we are providing support for so many families, we want to clearly define our communication guidelines—both for you and for ourselves! Our goal is to provide thoughtful and effective care for everyone while also carving out time for our own families and to nurture ourselves so that we can continue to show up for our clients with our full focus and energy.

Guidelines for Communication Between Appointments

We value staying connected with you, but our capacity to respond quickly may be limited depending on which homeopath you are working with and their client load. Please adhere to the following general guidelines:

General Updates:

We welcome brief updates between appointments. Please note that while we may not always respond to these updates unless they include an urgent question, we will save them to your file for discussion during your next session. To help us manage our time effectively, please keep emails concise and to the point.

Questions and Emails:

  • If you have 1-2 quick questions about your dosing schedule, remedy response, or a simple acute question, we are happy to provide a brief reply at no charge. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response, not including weekends. **Please note that our senior homeopaths (Sarah and Lizzie) have very full practices, and you may need to wait 3-4 days for a response, not including Friday through Sunday.

  • For more complex inquiries that require your homeopath to review your file, assess your case, consider a detailed reply, and/or suggest new remedies, we charge $75. We will inform you in advance if charges are applicable and you can decide if you’d like to make an acute appt (see below), make a change to your current dosing schedule via email between appointments, or if you’d rather wait until your next follow-up.

Acute Situations:

For acute situations that require prompt attention, we offer the following options:

  • Acute Appointment: You can book a 20-minute acute appointment with your homeopath for $80.

  • Email Acute Prescription: We will review your message, analyze remedies, and provide suggestions via email for $80. This option is also usually available during normal business hours and not on the weekends, although your specific homeopath might be able to take after hours/weekend acutes and you can discuss that with them.

  • Some of our homeopaths can be reached faster via text or What’s App messaging. To reach Bridget via What’s App in an acute situation, you will be charged $80 for up to 72 hours of support. To reach Lizzie via text, you will be charged $85 every three days. These options are not meant to replace normal email correspondence, only to be used if your homeopath cannot book an in-person acute appointment and you require help quickly.

  • If your homeopath is not available within the timeframe you need, we suggest reaching out to homeopathy247.com or swifthomeopathyclinic.com for immediate on-call help.

  • Describe the remedy response (e.g., “After taking Nux Vomica, my child developed a rash on their legs”)

    Acute Illness Questions:

  • Specify when the illness began (e.g., “The fever started two days ago”)

  • Include any alleviating factors (e.g., “Symptoms improve when lying down or in warm air”)

  • Include location of the main complaint (e.g., “Pain is mainly on my left side but shoots over to the right sometimes”)

  • Include the sensation of the pain (e.g., “My head is throbbing/aching” or “His stomachache feels stabbing/twisting”)
